Our presentation at Melbourne Art Fair represents an opportunity to revisit artworks that have left an indelible mark on the contemporary Australian art landscape while looking towards the future in present time. At the heart of our presentation, lies a nuance of opposition - moments of dark and light entwine, dualities coexist, meeting points between history and present, shadow and luminosity converge - allowing for a twilight space of whispered conversations across generations.
From our newer generation of artists including Kaylene Whiskey whose practice merges seamlessly with some of Australia's most established artists including Julie Rrap, Jenny Watson, Dale Frank and Fiona Hall to top international artists including Isaac Julien and Renee So, we show a snapshot of our history and programme. With key works and artists connecting across time, across geography and genre we probe the question: What is current? What is now?
