This image of Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris is from taken from the Italian Metaphysical painter Giorgio de Chirico. Superimposed over the building is a nebula – an image that Tillers sourced from the anniversary material for the Siding Springs Observatory at Coonabarabran. Tillers’ father worked as a mechanical engineer at the Siding Springs Observatory, and Tillers’ says that it is a tribute to his father every time he uses the image. The textual references in the work are from Novalis.
