Set in Indulkana, a remote community in South Australia, Whiskey’s works seamlessly merge traditional Anangu motifs with elements of pop culture, constructing a rich and dynamic narrative of connection and cultural pride.
This exhibition, featuring her acclaimed 2023 Archibald Prize finalist painting of the same name, serves as a jubilant ode to community and Country. It envisions a realm where imagination intersects with reality, and where friendship flourishes amidst superheroes, Sister Act, and song.
